start. Need to log miles on flotrack.
Thursday July 14th. Two mile race
@ Nicollet Junior High. 7:00 pm start
time. This is required for all camp
participants. Highly
encouraged for others. Great way to check out your summer fitness level without having to
drive a long way.
Monday July 18th-Friday July 22nd. Summer Camp @ Wild River State Park. Cost is $225.00 plus donated food. Race will be Wednesday AM
potentially with another team.
Monday August 15th. First Day of official practice. All official
paperwork needs to be turned in before an athlete is eligible to
participate.
Wednesday August 17th: Uniform hand
out day. $80.00 fine if they are not
returned at end of the season. 8:00
AM.
Friday August 19th Practice at 8:00 AM. Picture DAY to follow at
9:15 AM. Bring your uniform for
that day.
Saturday August 20th. Alumni Meet @
West Cross Town Park. All athletes need
to be at the high school at 8:00 AM. All
athletes will be bringing a dish to share.
Directions from the high school. : Portland South one block to East Travelers
Trail---West about 3/4 mile ---Park is on the
left. Limited parking. Most will have to park at the Cub parking lot
and walk on over.
Wednesday August 24th. Athlete/ Parent Meeting at Burnsville
High School at football stadium @ 6:00 PM. Each family member will be bringing food to
share. In case of inclement weather, we
will have the meeting in the cafeteria.
Thursday August 25th. Time Trial
Gale Woods Regional Park. ALL will be participating. Be at high school @ 2:00 pm. New runners will be racing with the
experienced runners then the experienced racers will go back and do the course
at a tempo pace----Keep with your training group and learn to run the edge of
your fitness level. Return to high
school around 7:45 PM.
Thursday September 1st. Early Bird
St. Kates Meet. Be @ BHS by 2:00 PM. Return to BHS by 7:20pm. Race times:
JV 4:30, Varsity 5:30, Freshman 6:00.
This is for ALL GRADES. This will
be held at the campus of St. Kates. Please come and support out runners as we are
the defending champions in both Varsity and JV divisions.
Saturday September 3rd. Marshfield Meet. The
top 8 SUMMER runners will be participating regardless of varsity or junior
varsity will be making this over-night trip. This team is also determined by winter runner
or other sport participation. YOU need
to earn this trip. Just a reminder: Cole O’Brien did not go as a sophomore
because he did NOT earn it. The team will be announced at the Alumni
meet. Start logging your miles NOW. All athletes will be leaving on Friday September 4th @ NOON. Boys Varsity:
10:30 A.M. Be back to BHS @ 4:00 PM or so the next
day. Details of what to bring will be
discussed at a later date.
Friday September 10th. Time
Trial: Nicollet Junior High. Run the Burnsville Invitational Course. Less experienced runners will be racing 1
mile. Others will be racing 5K. Experienced runners will be doing
12x200Meters afterwards with HILLS that is very similar to the SECTION
course.
Thursday September 15th. Olsen Middle School---Bloomington. (Middle School Only) 3:30 race
time. Bus Times: Eagle Ridge Junior High 1:50, Nicollet 2:00,
Metcalf 2:10, High School 2:20.
Friday September 16th. St. Olaf
Challenge (This supplants the Lakeville meet) We can RACE on the STATE meet course
to prepare to win it in November. Race
Times: Boys Varsity 4:30 PM. ALL run Varsity for this meet. Here is your chance to prove you belong on
Varsity. Bus Times: Eagle Ridge 1:40 pm, Nicollet 1:50, Metcalf
2:00. High School 2:10. Return to high school around 7:00 pm. Workout following the
race for some. Last year we were
2nd by 1 point. Let’s go and
win in this year.
Saturday September 17th. Annual WEBBER/GLAVAS Brunch FEST. Be at the park near his home @ 8:00 AM. Beards Plaisance
Park. Directions from BHS: 35W North to 62W (Left hand exit)---Go to Xerxes Ave and go north or right. Go 15 blocks to 46th Street and go
East or Right. Go 4 blocks to
Upton. Go left at Upton and Park----go
over the ridge and you will see the Gazebo.
We will be meeting there and having a GRAND time. ALL are invited with family members. For younger family members there is a great
play area. We have access to literally
50 miles of trails----great coffee shops---book stores, bakeries, etc. All will be running at least 2 lakes or
running on the Parkway OR if anyone wants to be adventurous, we can RUN to
Target Field. Parents: Bring
your bike, blades or just run or walk the lakes. This is a GREAT tradition and we hope to have
another banner year. All that attend----Please
bring something to share to eat with the group.
There is electricity at the Gazebo.

September21 st. Middle School ONLY. Aronson Park. Lakeville. Bus
information: Eagle Ridge: 1:45 pm.
Nicollet: 1:55, Metcalf. 2:05. Leave High School @ 2:30 pm.
Friday September 23rd: Most will be
going to preview the GRIAK/SECTION course.
Leave High School @ 3:00 pm.
Return at 6:30 pm or so.
Saturday September 24th---Griak Meet for some(O’Brien and Salan are registered) Apple Valley meet for the
others.
Thursday September 28th. Burnsville Invitational.
All will be competing is this event.
Race Times: 4:30 pm JV Boys,
5:30pm Varsity boys, 6:00pm Elementary.
Bus information: Eagle Ridge 2:00 Metcalf
2:15. Drop off at Nicollet. High School will leave @ 12:30 pm and help
set-up the course. Athletes will need to
be picked up at Nicollet Junior High after they help clean-up.
Saturday October 1st: FUN-RAISER 10:00 AM @ BHS Track. All
families are welcome to come and walk and enjoy some exercise. ALL participants will be collect donations
for the program according to how many laps they run this day.
Sunday October 2nd. Volunteer for
Mile 20 water stop. Information will be
coming about this event. We need at
least 30 people to be part of this fundraiser.
We had a blast last year and this is a GREAT family event.
Tuesday October 4th Chaska Invitational
Chaska Par 3 golf course. Girls C 3:45pm, Boys C 3:45pm, Girls Varsity 4:45pm, Boys Varsity
5:05pm, Girls JV 5:25pm, Boys JV 5:45pm, 6:10pm Awards. Bus Information: Eagle Ridge 1:20pm, Nicollet 1:30pm, Metcalf
1:40pm, High School 1:55pm. Back at BHS approximately 7:15 pm.
Thursday October 6th. Mikes Meet Eagle Ridge Junior High (Middle
school meet only) Grades 9-12 will be helping run the meet. ALL must get to Eagle Ridge by 3:00 PM. We will be having pizza afterwards. Please bring $5.00 for the cost of the
pizza. We will be finished at or around
6:30 PM.

There will be practice during MEA week (October 17-22) at 8:00 AM. We have to STAY focused during this week as
we are almost there and NOW is the time to give it the
last push for a STATE title run.
Wednesday October 20th 1 mile race against Apple Valley High School---Be at
the high school @ 2:30 pm. All will be
competing in the 2nd annual race.
Apple Valley won the event last year, let’s
bring the trophy back to BHS.
Monday October 24th. Grade Level Championships.
Bassett Creek Park, Crystal. Race
Information: 4:00 pm Juniors
and Seniors, 4:30 Sophomores, 5:00 PM Freshmen and under. Bus Information: Eagle Ridge 1:45pm, Nicollet 1:55pm, Metcalf

Thursday October 27th. Sectional
Meet: Section Championships @ Les Belsted Golf Couse. ****Please NOTE: This is a change from years past: Section 5 will also be competing at this
event. When we get more information, I
will be providing it to you.. Bus Information: Eagle Ridge 12:00pm, Nicollet 12:10pm,
Metcalf 12:20pm, High School 12:30 pm.
Race Information: NOT SURE YET.
Friday November 4th. The top 7
will be having dinner as a team with the coaches. We will NOT be going to the STATE meet course
this year before hand because of a later start time for the meet.
Saturday November 5th STATE Meet. Details to follow. 10:00
PM start time. ALL will be attending to HELP out the team. Bus information: BHS @ 7:15 AM. Awards Ceremony at 12:00
pm. Return to BHS at 2:00
pm.
Sunday November 13th. Regional Nike Team Nationals---Sioux Falls S.D. We will leave on Saturday November 12th. We will leave at 10:00 AM. ALL can participate. Top 7 will be competing for a NATIONAL
spot. Top 7 will be paid for by the
booster club, the rest, you will need to pay your own
way. We will probably need at least
three different drivers for this event.
If you can volunteer your time, that would be much appreciated. Volunteers will have their rooms paid for by
the booster club.
